Lately, everything is on the phone. I desire to bring back the art of sitting down and bringing pen to paper, and encouraging ladies to face who they are. You can truly live life with no limitations the moment you shift your mindset.
I struggled with depression for so many years. I thought losing weight was the key to winning this unseen battle. Even after losing 100+ lbs, I was still struggling with finding happiness. I kept hearing about how journaling changed so many other people's lives, and I initially thought it was a waste of time. At my lowest, I decided to give it a chance because I had nothing else to lose.
I turned everything off, lit some candles, and started writing how I was feeling. After the first time, I felt a little weight being lifted. I decided that I would make a conscious choice to sit down every day and write how I was feeling. Little did I know this was going to develop into something significant and life-changing. Journaling gave me the space I needed to control my thoughts. During this process, I realized that 90% of my thoughts were negative, so I was attracting the worse outcomes in every situation. Just writing, I shifted my mind from continuously thinking the worse to seeing every situation's bright side.
